Mosley Scores Four In the Seventh To Improve Record To 5-0
Trailing 5-4 in the seventh inning Tuesday, Ryan Yeager came up big by hitting a two-run home run to lead Mosley to an 8-5 win over the Chiles Timberwolves. Trailing by one Drew Yeager led off the inning reaching first base on an error. Yeager then homered on a 1-2 pitch to left field giving the Dolphins the lead for good. Mosley tacked on two additional runs to cement the win.
A two-out rally in the fifth inning allowed Chiles to take its first lead of the game. Garrett Mathes doubled on a line drive to right field and TJ West followed with an RBI single to center field. With the Timberwolves still down one with two out, Tyler Dunbar followed with a two-run homer to left field.
Mosley jumped out to an early lead in the second when Peyton Millirons and Drew Yeager hit back-to-back singles, scoring Justin Kelley and Nicky Agosto. The Dolphins (5-0) added two more in the fourth when Millirons hit a two-run home run on a line drive to left-field, giving them a 4-0 lead.
Chiles cut the lead to two in the bottom of the fourth when Amari Gainer walked and Luke Taddeo followed with a double to left field. Gainer scored a batter later on a passed ball and Taddeo followed on ground out to shortstop.
